Jewelry Making Camps will be led by Cheryl Weatherford, owner of Chereal Designs, LLC. Learn to work with a variety of materials, tools and techniques to design and produce earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and key chains. Materials such as varied beads, flexwire, copper wire, gemstones and clay will be used. Students will explore techniques including, knotting and stringing, creating wire cages for gemstones, Japanese round braiding, herringbone and wire design.
Jewelry Making camps will teach different projects each week, so students wishing to participate in both weeks will learn and create new things each day!

Join Chereal Designs for a class that's great for an introduction to wire weaving on Thursday Feb 20 from 9-12. The "Grecian Wire Woven Earring" combines copper wire, gemstone beads and wire weaving to complete this beginner's project. We will use jewelry making tools and hammers to complete the look that is great for a pendant or earrings. All kits come with materials and instructions for future projects. Each student will make their own cane and speckled polymer clay mixes in color before creating shapes and attaching to wearable jewelry. Using various thicknesses of wire, create a Celtic knot. This serves as the centerpiece of a wire woven bracelet. A great project to learn how to use jewelry making tools.
Use wire to create a hammered shape and wound wire for an organic design. Each participant will make a copper earring with an ear wire provided and leave with written instructions. Ages 8 and up preferred or with an adult email Cheryl at cherealdesigns@gmail.com for any questions

Knowing how to knot beads is a helpful skill to knot precious beads to make rosaries or malas and a timeless technique to protect pearls. Learn how to knot in-between beads with Chereal Designs at Big Picture Gallery and Studio on Sunday, November 17th from 2-4pm. Every kit comes with the materials needed to complete a bracelet with beads that you choose on the day of class, including gemstone, pearls and glass.
In this improved version of this design, add freshwater pearls to copper wire. Wrap your wire around a sturdy armature. Learn to create a hook-n-eye clasp that comes organically from the piece.

Create a Sunburst pendant with natural gemstone beads and copper wire at Big Picture Gallery & Studio! Participants will have two gemstone beads to choose from to create their own pendant. This design uses copper wire and string art technique to create a pentagram inside a gemstone crown. Perfect for beginners, bring eye wear for close up work if needed.
